2.0 Checking Neighborhoods

 

IF NEIGHBORHOODS ARE TO BE CHECKED

NEST VOLUNTEER INSTRUCTIONS

Please Note: Any documents not available at this Website are located in the NEST file cabinet at the La Honda firehouse.

  1. Personnel pairs are to perform damage assessment or other activities as requested by IC.
  2. When doing damage assessment, Red Cross standards can be used. These standards are found in the Survey/Damage Assessment document (ARC 3029 - pages 18-19) located in the Red Cross file in the Networking Outside La Honda folder.
  3. Check special needs residents. Utilize information in 1996 Survey Results in NEST Resources folder in file cabinet. Assist these residents if appropriate.
  4. Check additional special needs residents as they become apparent. Assist these residents if appropriate.

NEST COMMAND INSTRUCTIONS

Please Note: Any documents not available at this Website are located in the NEST file cabinet at the La Honda firehouse.

  1. Assign personnel in pairs.
  2. Remove Street Map of La Honda from file cabinet. Issue to personnel pairs with any additional relevant information.
  3. Notify IC of survey results and any actions taken.
  4. Start list of special needs residents. Assign individual case managers if required.
  5. Notify Red Cross of any appropriate special needs residents.
