Jeff Clarke opened the meeting at 7:30 pm

Approval of December minutes:
Correction: Cost of T-shirts is $11

Chief’s report:

1. 2006 VFA Grant – County Fire will pay for our share of the grant - $8,481.38.
2. Satellite cell phone to be canceled
3. HMB Beautification committee: with our grant money, we will be able to purchase 18 First Aid kits and 15 family service rados
4. We have received $5774.00 from La Ducati Day
5. 2007 FEMA Assistance grant in the amount of $15,000.00 for a Turn Out Extractor and Dryer (95/5 split).   Our portion is $750.00.  
6. Remodel update: (a) loan has closed and is available for draws (b) Sheriff’s office to relocate radios and equipment (c) We expect the project to be completed by the end of March.
7. Appreciation Dinner – Recommend that appreciation dinner be combined with Open House to show off remodeled fire station.
8. CERT class to be held in Loma Mar in January.

Old Business:

Computer: Doug needs an updated member list from Kathleen Dickey.   Coleen will provide newest members to her.

Cioppino silent auction (Dominico Wine): no update on winner.   Perhaps reuse at 2008 Cioppino?

Bank Signature Cards: Doug to go in and sign Heritage Bank signature card.

Station Use Policy: Kathleen to draft proposal based on sample policies and current station policies.   To be reviewed at a future meeting.

Newsletter: Newsletter ads have all been paid for.

Magnet status: Doug Woods has picture, current status unclear.

Postcards: sent out to past members who did not renew.   Received 5 members & cleared up 18 bad addresses.

 

New Business:

2008 Calendar Items – Jeff to develop newsletter dates.

Appreciation Dinner – to be discussed in February.

Cioppino – first meeting to be held at 7:00 pm on 1/25.

Tax Accountant meeting – 1/7, 2pm with A. Bernstein.
