Battalion 15

Company 57 is a member of Battalion 15. A battalion is a group of companies that work together. Most battalions are within a given city, but when the cities or towns are small or the companies are located in unincorporated areas like La Honda, battalions may be formed by proximity. An example of a battalion with multiple cities would be Battalion 10. It is made up of Company 40 in Half Moon Bay, Company 41 in El Granada and Company 44 in Moss Beach.

The La Honda Fire Brigade is in the same battalion as Company 59 in Pescadero, Company 58 at Sky Londa, Company 56 at King's Mountain and Company 55 in Loma Mar. All are supported in different amounts by Cal-Fire (state) and San Mateo County. Companies 57,55 and 56, being volunteer, also rely on community support. Stations on Google Earth Image
